After five years at Foodello-Fiksuruoka, Olli Syrjälä, our Procurement Development Manager, is setting out on a new career adventure. Olli’s career has been a whirlwind of growth but most of all, it’s been about making an impact. From joining our team straight from university to taking part in major projects like new market openings and building a team, Olli has been a true champion of our mission to fight food waste. So, what’s next, Olli?
In 2023, our brand team realized it was time for a fresh start. Foodello–Fiksuruoka had grown significantly in two years, and our old brand no longer matched our evolving identity. Alongside new insights into our customers' needs, the changing requirements of our online store also drove the need for a new brand identity. This project was a cross-team collaboration between the brand and product team experts to ensure the new identity was cohesive. Now, Henni Sulonen, Johanna Hauru and Liisa-Lotta Laulainen share their collaborative process behind the brand renewal and the key lessons they learned along the way!
Is it possible to purchase goods to consume and do good for the planet at the same time? Yes. Procurement Manager Margot Wiggers is an expert on that. Our Product team works to constantly improve Fiksuruoka–Foodello’s online store – to make reducing food waste a recurring habit for our customers. Among other things, it’s a lot about testing new features in different markets, and scaling them to tens of millions of people through a fast and agile process.
